Bigfoot
The broad-shouldered hominid of Appalachian tradition, reported across the highlands for generations.
Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, is among the most widely reported cryptids in the Appalachian region. Described as a large bipedal figure covered in dark hair, accounts appear consistently across generations of folklore from southern New York to northern Mississippi.
Sightings near Carraway Gorge are uncommon in the documented record but present in the oral tradition of Mill Hollow residents, particularly from workers who spent time in the outer gorge and the highland treeline.
Variations
Accounts vary on size, hair color, and behavior. Most describe a figure that avoids contact. A smaller number describe one that does not.
